Elyssa Schneider

As a middle and high school teacher for nearly a decade, the call to teach and share her passions with others comes naturally to Elyssa Schneider. She caters her classes to the specific students in front of her, acknowledging that our bodies do not fit into a one-size-(practice)-fits-all mold. She brings her utmost passion, deep wealth of experience and learning, and love for connection with others to every class that she teaches: prenatal, Mommy and Baby, kids and teen, and adult vinyasa. Elyssa’s classes are playful and challenging, and through the seemingly simple act of breathing with awareness, she aims to allow the space for her students to be as they are, and to come away with a sense of personal connection and aliveness.


Elyssa’s relationship with yoga spans more than a decade, and it is constantly changing to be what she needs it to be in each moment and stage of life. Continuing to show up on her mat each day during her pregnancy, Elyssa has experienced firsthand the immense benefits of a prenatal yoga practice, both physically and emotionally, and is so excited to share this practice with other women. She fully credits her prenatal yoga practice with helping her to have the birth experience that was perfect for her, and, even more, for helping her ride out the constant uncertainties of pregnancy and new motherhood. Through her prenatal yoga practice, Elyssa learned to cultivate strength, to shower herself with self-compassion, and to truly listen to her body: to rest when she needed to rest and to push her edge when she needed to push. For the first time in her life, Elyssa learned to let go of control and be okay with not knowing what would be, lessons that have carried over into motherhood, and simply into life itself.


Elyssa completed her 200-hour training at Back Bay Yoga with Lynne Begier and Ame Wren, as well as additional studies with Nicole Clark and prenatal training with Bec Conant of OmBirths. She continues to look up to and learn from all of her teachers and students (both in the studio and in the classroom) daily, and especially her son Jayden, her most natural yoga teacher of all.

Brigitte Arle

Brigitte Arlé, RPYT, CLC, CEIM, has a background in dance and received her BFA from Alvin Ailey/ Fordham University. Her dedication to dance, anatomy, and the study of movement led her to become a full-time instructor. Brigitte is certified in therapeutic yoga, Thai yoga massage and prenatal TYM, integral yoga hatha, yin yoga, integral prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, and yoga for labor and delivery. She is also certified in Pilates mat, apparatus, and prenatal and postnatal Pilates. Brigitte teaches private Pilates at her studio, Rooted Boston.


Because of her love of working with expectant and new mothers, Brigitte became a doula in 2010 and was certified by DONA International. She studied midwifery with Ina May Gaskin at the Farm in Tennessee. Brigitte is also a Certified Lactation Counselor, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and has received several certificates for specialties in pelvic floor rehab. Witnessing women in labor, birth, and parenting her own two girls, has greatly influenced Brigitte’s approach to teaching.

Rachel Bairstow

Rachel Bairstow began practicing yoga in 2003 as a way to relieve both stress and the boredom of her hackneyed gym routines. When the inner quiet and focus she found on the mat began to trickle into other corners of her life, Rachel knew she had found more than just a form of exercise; she had found a discipline for her spiritually inquisitive mind and a home inside a body which, until then, she had only minimally appreciated.
Rachel began teaching yoga in 2007 and discovered Forrest yoga shortly thereafter. When she trained with Ana Forrest in 2008, Rachel heard her speaking about yoga as a system of healing and living with honesty, strength, and a sense of personal wholeness. As she began to uncover more and more lost or silent parts of herself through Forrest, Rachel knew she wanted to give to others the gifts of this yoga that she herself had reaped.
Rachel believes in all forms of yoga as a powerful tool for connecting to the best parts of ourselves and allowing them to flourish. Students in Rachel’s classes learn to use poses, breathing, and deep meditative focus to become students not only of yoga, but also students of themselves and their lives. Rachel welcomes all levels, all abilities, and all walks of life.

Jaime-Lyn Gaudet

After studying dance throughout her life, Jaime-Lyn entered her first yoga class in 2005, and immediately felt at home. Having spent several years in Southern California, and now living in the Boston area, she is grateful for how these two yoga communities have shaped both her personal practice and teaching style.


Jaime-Lyn completed her 200+ hour teacher training with Boston Yoga School, under the guidance of Ame Wren and Brenna Matthews. She is an approved Radiant Child Yoga Teacher, having studied with Checka Antifonario. She completed her prenatal and postnatal yoga training with Bec Conant at Om Births.


Both on and off the mat, she strives for balance, and this is carried into her teaching by a focus on strength and alignment, while fostering a sense of curiosity.


Outside of her yoga practice, Jaime-Lyn enjoys traveling, usually in pursuit of the next rock to climb or sunset to photograph. Oh, and ice cream.

Janine Duffy

A wife, mom, law grad, legal researcher, and yoga addict all rolled into one! 

Janine Duffy discovered yoga upon entering law school more than 10 years ago. Since then, yoga has been there for her through the good times and the bad. Years of long hours as a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, as well as being a new mom to two little boys finally took its toll. It was during this tumultuous time as she transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom and battled post-partum depression that Janine found her way back to the mat. Not only did yoga help Janine regain her confidence, balance, and satisfaction in her new role, but it also had a positive effect on her son, James. She noticed a big difference in his attitude and alertness, which made her a believer that yoga was great for those of all ages—especially children! Shortly thereafter, Janine completed her children’s yoga training with Radiant Child Yoga and began teaching kids yoga classes.


Janine’s curiosity about the effects of yoga led her to a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Chanel Luck and Bonnie Argo. It was at the end of this training that she found herself pregnant once again. She noticed that practicing yoga while pregnant was fun, exciting, scary, and sad—every emotion a woman could have. Toward the end of her pregnancy, Janine became certified to teach prenatal yoga at Om Births.


Janine finds the most satisfaction helping women through this tremendous life-changing experience, and focuses on teaching prenatal as well as the post-partum, Mommy and Baby and toddler yoga classes. Her classes help new and expecting moms understand and adjust to the changes taking place in their bodies and minds. Janine’s classes focus on strength-building poses, pranayama, and meditation that are helpful not only on the mat, but also off! Being the mom of three boys, Janine can certainly attest to how yoga helps her throughout any given day!

Kristen Sweeney

Kristen loves using yoga as a tool to help students achieve personal transformation. She received her 200-hour vinyasa and her hot yoga certifications from Yoga to the People in NYC, and trained in prenatal yoga with Juliana Mitchell of Living Now Yoga, also in New York. As a prenatal teacher, she is honored to share space with women on the incredible journey of creating and giving birth. Kristen's classes offer alignment-based, breath-focused instruction, incorporating the dualities of structure/freedom and comfort/challenge. She also loves helping students integrate the lessons and wisdom of the yoga practice on a broader scale into a personal "practice of living." Kristen is also a life coach, an actor, and a writer.

Prenatal Yoga is geared toward expecting moms and will offer a safe yoga class during this time of tremendous change in the body. This class will offer a workout, focus and connection on breath for relaxation, as well as support and community during this exciting time for expecting moms. Please - women only.
