Brookline Kids Yoga Classes

Toddler Yoga (ages walkers - 3.5): Get your little one off on the right yoga-foot with this fun and educational yoga class for walkers to 3 year-olds. Our littlest yogis will learn and grow through simple, animated yoga poses, music, breath work, and balancing games that build strength, coordination, and body awareness. While the class flows between bonding exercises with caregivers and opportunities for little ones to venture out on their own, caregivers are asked to stay on their mat. In this safe, holding, and creative environment, everyone can experience the joy and fun of yoga!

Yogi Beans (3 - 6): This non-traditional yoga class will take your little one on invigorating, imaginative adventures to places like the African savannas, Arabian desserts, and the deep blue sea. Classes begin with breathing exercises to relax and focus attention inward. Incorporating asana (yoga poses) and pranayama (breath work) into highly imaginative play allows kids to build strength, increase flexibility, and improve concentration . . . all while having fun! Class ends with restorative poses and breathing exercises, leaving your little one happy, inspired, and relaxed. Older siblings welcome!

Classes begin with breathing exercises to relax and focus attention inwards. Incorporating asana (yoga poses) and pranayama (breath work) into highly imaginative play ensures that kids will build strength, increase flexibility, and improve concentration all while having fun! Class ends with restorative poses and breathing exercises, ensuring your little one will leave feeling happy, inspired and relaxed. Siblings welcome!

Yogi Blossoms (ages 8-12): This tween program will promote inner and outer strength, through a mixture of games, yoga sequences, partner poses, restorative yoga postures and deep relaxation, in a safe, be yourself, no judgment environment. Yoga can help tweens find balance in their busy schedules as well as help complement the children's other athletic activities.

Peaceful Warriors (boys ages 8-12) can help boys find ease and balance in their busy schedules and complement their other athletic activities. Peaceful Warriors will promote both inner and outer strength through a mixture of playful yoga sequences, balance exercises (on hands and feet), martial arts, and restorative yoga postures with deep relaxation. All of this will be offered in a safe, be-yourself, no judgment environment.

Teen Yoga for Girls (ages 11-16) This tween/teen program for girls will promote inner and outer strength, through flowing sequences, restorative yoga postures and deep relaxation, in a safe, be yourself, no judgment environment. This is the population that needs yoga the most, as entering the teen years brings many transitions (some tumultuous!), both physically and emotionally. Yoga can help teens find the necessary tools to deal with their emotions, stress, body image and peer pressure, setting them up for success in all aspects of their lives.

Yoga Lab (ages 4-10) is space where children can investigate and explore yoga, breath and movement. Every class will include flowing sequences, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and a closing circle. The addition of music, storytelling, art, and group games will be sure to capture and hold kids attention. Age and intensity level variations will be suggested throughout the class to accommodate all of the students.

A class great for siblings! Using storytelling, music and yoga games we will build on our self esteem and confidence while practicing our own sundance and yoga poses. Join us while we strengthen and stretch our minds and bodies! For ages 5-12 yrs old, adult/child class.
 
Cost:
Family Yoga for 2 is $25 (includes 1 child and 1 adult)
Family Yoga for 3 is $35 (must include at least 1 child)
Family Yoga for 4 is $45 (must include at least 1 child)
